I love this so much more than the one I replaced. I replaced the m575 twice and found out beauty was highly recommended and made in Germany. You can purchase separate trackballs in different colors but I love the purple. I like the snap on molds that adjust the angle of the mouse for comfort and the option to use bluetooth or USB. Superior product and focused on the customer, lifetime customer from now on.
Pros: It fits the hand well. The buttons are responsive. It has side scrolling, which is essential for my work. The buttons are in good positions.
Cons: The scroll wheel is stiff. The trackball has a little play within the mouse. This can make precise work difficult due to the mouse moving when you remove your thumb. To fix this issue find a product called "moleskin." It's used to protect skin from abrasive damage and you'll find it in the foot care area of most stores. Cut two small strips and stick them to the inside of the ball socket. This will snug up the ball without causing too much friction. The manufacturers should have put felt pads in the socket, but this fix works fine.
Works great! If the ball starts to stick, take it out and clean out the lint. Zero problems.

While I really didn't need the included risers to bring the angle of the device that some people might need up to 20 degrees what I DO like is the D.P.I. increase that Logitech just can't do. I really can't find ANY faults with this trackball EXCEPT for how long it took to get here (I got it TODAY. April 2nd yet I had ordered it WAY back on February 22!!!). Tho I guess that since this product was designed in Germany it was actually made in China (like EVERYTHING is these days...) so maybe that had something to do with the delay.
This mouse looks nice but has a strange feel to it. Almost like the buttons are too far from where my hand rests naturally. I'll give it a fair shake though.

Overall the feel is nice and fits nicely on the hand. However the roller ball gets suck even after cleaning, super laggy and slow. I would say its good the first couple months but after some use it will not work well. Decently go for the logitech as it will last a lot longer without issue.

I've been hearing about the supposedly heightened accuracy of trackballs over mice for more than twenty-five (25) years. That hasn't been my experience, though. I was more accurate within a month of first picking up a mouse thirty years ago then I have become with a trackball after four months of constant use since I purchased it.
A reasonable optical/laser gaming mouse can be had for well under half of what I paid for this trackball, and under $10 if you don't want or need more than 3 buttons. Furthermore, that mouse won't force you to return to having the old-school problems of needing to pop the ball out to clean accumulated dirt off of the sensors like you used to have to do with mouse balls and the rollers inside the mouse that I gave up, again, about twenty-five years ago, when optical mice first hit the market.
The software for customizing the extra buttons this unit has could be improved significantly by adding profiles, allowing you to quickly switch between different configurations for use in different applications.
The saving graces of this unit that keep my rating as high as it is are that it nicely fits my rather large hands quite well, and the side-scrolling tilt-buttons on the wheel. The side-tilt has been a life saver on some web sites (including Amazon Gaming) that don't appear to work well for me when dragging with a traditional pointer on a system that doesn't have a touchscreen.
Update 1/12/24 - Added one star back because I emailed customer service and after brief troubleshooting, they sent a new unit to me which i received within a couple of days. The new one works great and the customer service was attentive and prompt.
As stated above, I bought one of these Perixx trackballs and it worked great. I'm not a gamer, but I spend hours in front of multiple computers all day doing regular business-type activities. I bought a second track ball for another computer and it worked great until the scroll wheel stopped working about 3 months after I bought it - it jumps around and stopped scrolling smoothly - like other reviews have mentioned. The first one is still working great.
I've used this mouse for 6 months or so. I tested a few trackball mice before settling on this one because I like how my hand rests on it. It's larger than other popular models I tried, but I'm 6' 2" with proportionally big hands so it works for me.
The software driver for this is great—being able to reprogram buttons and being able to finely adjust the high- and low-sensitivity settings is a game-changer.
The downside I faced with this mouse is that the trackball was not nearly as smooth as competing Logitech or Elecom models. It felt more "gritty" and was hard to make fine movements. During my testing, I popped the Logitech M570 trackball in (it was a perfect fit) and then the Perixx mouse felt just as silky-smooth. You could buy a replacement M570 ball, but those are like $20!!
I read up on trackball mods (the hobby runs deep!) and tried a bunch myself. Here's the only one that works: rub wax paper on the ball only (not the bearings!) and it's the same silky-smooth as the M570 ball. Also remember to clean the bearings when they get sticky (any trackball needs this). I use isopropyl and a little brush. Takes 30 seconds every couple weeks.
This mouse is working fine for me with several hundreds of hours of use on it. Hoping I don't run into longevity issues like some others have mentioned, but whenever it dies, I'll probably buy another :)
I've been using this mouse for 25-30 hours a week for the last 6 months and can't speak highly enough of it! Overall very comfortable and easy to use. I have large hands and don't have any problems with this mouse. My one suggestion would be a smoother scroll wheel, however for the price this mouse has all the features you need.
I have noticed a significant decrease in strain/soreness, and that's after using vertical mice for the last 3 years. The transition to a trackball was seamless, and the included angled stands provide fantastic options. If you're using this mouse with macOS, I suggest downloading the program "Mac Mouse Fix" to unlock all the features available.
Unfortunately, the scroll wheel on my first mouse started behaving erratically after a few months, but Perixx support promptly provided a replacement free of charge. This wasn't my first Perixx purchase and certainly won't be my last!
